Since 1994, AKA Direct has been providing clients with digital "print-on-demand" services. When combined with AKA Direct's fulfillment and mailing production capabilities, our clients are provided one-stop shopping for numerous mailing and fulfillment projects and programs.
One such program that is a huge success with our clients is "Direct Mail on Demand". The following is a brief synopsis of how "Direct Mail on Demand" works.
A series of generic mailing pieces are designed and produced for laser customization. Generic laser text is stored in a database along with client mail files, logos, and signatures. When a mailing is launched, the end user, our client's marcom department or their agency provides custom text and rental lists. Demand is initiated by posting orders to AKA Direct's bulletin board, fax, mail, e-mail or to AKA Direct's Customer Service department. Confirmation is usually e-mailed or faxed.
Generic material is pulled from inventory, and a laser proof is generated and provided to the client for sign-off. The mailing lists are CASS certified if necessary, and postal qualified. Once the client approves the laser proof, the customized mailing is produced and mailed, all at a low cost and quick turn time.Below is a list of our current technology systems, which allow for top quality results at competitive prices while maintaining AKA Direct's reputation for high-speed processing.
